Definitely a nice board! Looks great and it's full of features. I just think it's too late for all these new X58 boards to be released. SB beats LGA1366 unless you have a LGA1366 hex, so I don't really see a point in this board or the Gigabyte G1 series being released so late.

I'd only go back to 1366 if someone gave me a 990 for free. Then this might be worth it. Certainly better than that hideous gun-sinked board gigabyte made, as you can carry the sound card and network card over to a new board down the road. Unless they pulled that crap they did with the old add-on cards that were specific to the black slots on asus boards.

Hope they didn't limit the use of the LAN/Sound card. If so, that makes this board even less appealing.

Don't like the Rampage III Gene? It's not all black, but it looks really nice and is a good mATX board.

I do actually, but finding one used it rather hard, but I haven't looked in a while. The EVGA is the longest i've ever kept a board. Going on 14 months now. :eek:
