Atlantis Sapphire Radeon 9800Pro /w R360, flash to XT?!

Sorry, but it actually IS possible to get the ram manufacturer from the current bios.
Dumped with ATI-Tool and opened with RADEDIT:
File Name: ...\VGABIOS\9800org.bin
BIOS Title: R360 Hynix DDR 113-A18812-100 BIOS
BIOS Date: 2004/03/30 13:08

I'll give sapphire.9800xt.128mb.hynix.bin a try.

Umm, why do i have a R360 BIOS ?????
I thought Radeon 9800Pros come with R350 BIOS?
Clocks in BIOS are as normal for R350...

Hi all,
just flashed it. Nothing went wrong so far.
Currently running 3dmark03 to check my points.
Since i've got a temperature sensor (XT-PCB),
i can read the chip temp. within ATITool.
But i don't have it in my control panel. Overdrive
is also not there. Is this a BIOS issue?

Yo,.. gained 596 3dMarks from 9800pro BIOS
to 9800xt BIOS (each with default clock speeds).
Is this good?

Yes thats the BIOS string and in THIS case yes it says its a Hynix BIOS, doesnt always apply. My BIOS said the same(R360 Hynix DDR 113-A07537-103 BIOS) so I didnt have to pull my HSF off to see I had an R360 Core. Oh and lucky break on gettin the Temp sensor, I dont have one but not a huge deal,mines on a PRO PCB didnt expect to get it. As for the Overdrive have you also got Fan Control in ATI Tool? and lastly make sure you have the Hot Key Poller Active(needed to use OD)
Oh and make sure you reinstall the Drivers after Flash that also might get it.

That's a very good increase in performance for 3dMark
congrats!Btw, you should uninstall all the old drivers, run driver cleaner, and install the Ati drivers again, so you get all XT features enabled for your new card, good luck!
Hello INSTG8R, 15th Warlock,
i removed the "Display Drivers" before flashing the card and installed
Catalyst 5.3 after that, but i didn't run driver cleaner. Where to get it?

yeah if it has an R360 core they use a "modded" R360 BIOS to make it a "Pro"

Ok; Just tried DriverCleaner. Everything worked well.
Did all how described in the readme file.
In the control panel it's still no overdrive or something else new.
I also didn't find anything about a Hotkey Poller.
Any idea? Maybe it was the wrong bios (Sapphire 9800XT Hynix 128MB)?

Well I mean you have a Temp Sensor and it probably has to with not having fan Control but you got the important one anyway.Overdrive is nothing spectacular anyway better off usin Ati Tool or Radclocker to OC anyway
