I've just started a petition, you can read and sign the petition HERE.

Quoting the petition;

"To: Universal abit

Abit,

We, your consumers, have some requests. First and foremost is that you AT LEAST provide FREQUENT motherboard BIOS updates for your enthusiast level products. Secondly, us AW9D Max owners are feeling very cheated and let-down. The last BIOS for the AW9D Max (1.5) is severely lacking in features and is a little bug-ridded. All AW9D Max owners want to see the following bug fixes and feature additions in a new BIOS (listed in order of urgency by the majority of AW9D Max owners).

- Some advanced memory timing options
- PCI-E maximum payload size issue fixed
- Firewire can't be disabled issue resolved
- Re-adding of the PCI-E frequency adjustment option
- Memtest IDE drive issue resolved (IDE optical drives disappear after reboot)

ABIT bugs?
Hell yeah!
This ABIT AV8 3rd-eye is probably the worst motherboard I have ever used!
Seriously sucks up juice on startup so on rare occasions when there is too many appliances connected to the same socket it will not get to windows on cold boot and the CPU temp readings are too high.

Things are goin nice, 10 sigs already. Even now I'm starting to wonder just how high this sig count is gonna go.. its well known abit have far from stellar BIOS updates. In the time it takes abit to churn out one BIOS update, other manufacturers have churned around 5 or more out.
