Boys and girls / Girls and boys,
For those of you out there who, like me, are on a tight budget, there's hope.
I just got a Gigabyte 7600GT 128MB, new from a UK store in a popular auction site, for a mere 13GBP (=26USD), 6 times cheaper than normal retail price. And on top of it, it's absolutely noiseless (heat-pipe passive cooling). I hear you can play some decent old games at more than 60fps on 1024x768 maxed quality (Quake4, Doom3, COD2/3, Tomb Raider Anniv. and more). Worth every penny, me think!
For those who want more, I spotted a few second hand 7900 GT's, among others.
Considering the fail rate of our dear high spec cards, especially among overclockers, second-hand can be a risk, but if you can get it extra cheap, it might be worth taking the risk. We're talking A LOT cheaper.
No, I don't work for any auction site.
