why the objection anyway
nobody is forcing you to use or even suggesting it "replace" the current field

If this is going to be a thing, best name for the field I can think of would be something along the lines of "Audio Peripherals". It needs something to cover the wide variety of audio setups: speakers, headphones, microphone, headset, etc. And of course, the fancy stuff in between like amplifiers.
