So, Dragon Valley...........holy.........crap. THIS THING IS AWESOME!!!

I'm actually seriously considering renting a server when this comes out and run a 1000 ticket conquest dragon valley only server. It plays soooo different to all other BF4 Conquest maps.

It's a bit of a letdown though. Do you remember the poll? They specifically asked which mapS we wanted to see brought back. Turns out to just one... Not that Dragon Valley is bad. It's actually pretty awesome (I played it a little with bots back then). But just one... I really, really thought it would be two or even three (I mean come on, the selection was HUGE).

i think i need to replay a bit of BF4 ... but ... since i got it (free) i played only the campaign twice ... and im not really a fan of multiplayer (tho i was in BF1942/Desert combat and Vietnam, but it was in LAN

the second reason would be, i am more on STEAM than Origin lately ... ahah :laugh:

Not only does it feel as enourmous, it feels like battlefield! I don't feel like I'm fighting every enemy at every flag when I'm trying to back cap, or for that matter, trying to take any flag. The ability to take out bridges is awesome too.

Well David did say they did not have an end date for support yet when someone else brought the same thing up to him. So it's possible that there may be another one done. Since most of the design and layout of Dragon Valley was already done, DICE LA said that it was very quick to turn out this map.

I played for the first time in a long time and first, I was surprised at how awesome this game works with SLi. Dragon Valley is a great map, I played for about 3 hours straight.

Oh man, I just got done playing my first few rounds of Dragon Valley and I gotta say: they frickin nailed it this time. Feels so much like the old kick ass map of days gone by. It was worth the ten hours it took to download CTE, har har.

No way, it's not even remotely ready. Also they've not tested Conquest Assault which they said they would give a go to see how it played.

DICE has not said, but most people guess probably fall patch or near end of year.

I wish they brought more older maps back. I do understand it's HUGE amount of work and testing though, so it's probably not going to happen. It's just that even the DLC maps get somewhat boring after a year of playing them. The vanilla ones I don't even consider anymore (and I haven't actually played for 4-5 months now).

I have installed a new Nvidia GPU, my previous GPU was AMD, I used Mantle, gues what, I forgot to turn Mantle off in game settings. Now I can't load the game. Is there a way around this?

Under Documents, open up the Battlefield 4 folder -> settings -> PROFSAVE_profile. Open that file with notepad and search for: MantleEnabled. Change the 1 to a 0, save and exit.

The zero follows MantleEnabled, it is not before it. It may look like this: 0MantleEnable 1. Change the number following the line. If you have Notepad++, then the line will be by itself.

Just wanted to let anyone running SLI in Windows 10 Battlefield 4 is currently broken with a nasty GPU memory leak. NIVIDIA said they are aware of the issue and are currently working with MS to resolve the issue.

Battlefield 4 seems to me the only game affected. The work around is to run a single card for now. However I haven't tried that yet.........don't care enough to.

I was playing yesterday and got stuttering with W10 and my 290x. I noticed that the battlefield 4 taskbar button had disappeared. I had alt+tabbed after playing on the same server for a few hours. I couldn't click on any thing to spawn in and the only way I fixed it was L alt+enter to go to window and then again to go full screen. The stuttering stopped after that though the taskbar button was still missing.

I need to play on DX11 to see if there's much of a change with W10. I've always ran Mantle and have never had issues plus the fact that I got better fps even with 3 monitors.

On a side note, if you have not heard, they're going to cap the max turning speed on all turrets with the summer patch. Only thing sensitivity will change is how fast you get to that max. I don't play vehicles enough to know where the change is bad or not. I do know that I had a hard time keeping up being the gunner on the helo when they had Dragon Valley on the CTE servers over the 4th. There's a lot of people complaining about it on CTE so I've got a feeling this is going to come back and bite them hard, again. David said it was necessary for 60hz servers and they could make tank shells 1 hit kill since they view the cap as a indirect nerf. I'm guessing the rounds for the LAVs would get a buff too but I've not read that specifically, just the comment about tank shells.

But you preaching to the choir here bud. I got in at the very beginning and there was a big change in things when the Final Stand maps showed up on CTE. It went from bug squashing to bug testing new maps and "features".

I personally think Dragon Valley is going to be the only good map. The community map tries to be Zavod but it's meh in my opinion. The night maps are just horrid. Shanghai at night is horrible since the vertical aspect was taken away. Conquest does not play very well on that map without it. I predict that Dragon Valley will be the only good map to come out of the five with maybe the exception of Zavod night map. I have mixed feelings on that map.

I just can't wait for them to test Conquest Assault version of Dragon Valley. That map is really the only thing that has me excited. The Conquest version felt very BF2-ish. Trust me, even if we don't get Conquest Assault, you'll be having many BF2 flashbacks once that map comes out. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm really hoping they will do more BF2 maps since they made the comment that it was very easy to make quickly since the layout and everything was done. I don't think it will happen, but I'm hoping.

I'm going to make another post to bring this back up to the top, but I did hear a recent interview with David Sirland (tiggr) at DICE LA. He said that Dragon Valley is no where near complete and that only the artists have had a pass at it. He said that it would be unlikely to see it in the fall patch. Also the summer patch should be out with in the next week.

Its really not that bad, but I guess you're so used to the "polish" of GTA.
