The 27.5" would look worse than the 24". It's the same res, spread out over a larger area, leading to a higher pixel pitch. It would look much more grainy compared to the 24". Bigger != better unless the resolution or the view distance goes up as well.

And 2ms panels are the 5ms panels. They just use more overdrive and fudge the ratings a little on the 2ms ones. You would never see a difference, as long as both panels are from quality manufacturers. It's just a marketing gimmick.

And it used to be Tn-Film was the best for gaming because it's response was leagues ahead of M/PVA or IPS. That's not really the case anymore. The later gen M/PVA and IPS panels respond much faster than before, and most don't have the ghosting issues of the past.

Yea, of course it would look worse at the same distance... So if you do buy the 27.5", you HAVE to stay further away then 24" for sure...

M/PVA and IPS panels are out of his reach...

I don't know that Hans-G though... I know the ASUS I linked early is really good though! A friend of mine has it and it looks awesome!

I was lured into buying a 25" 1980x1050 Hans-G and I'm a little disappointed. It has too much banding, I would go for a better quality panel.

In case it wasnt already mentioned, the flaws of TN film displays are as follows.

The problem with TN Film is that viewing angles are pretty restrictive, especially vertically, and this is evident by a characteristic severe darkening of the image, especially if you look at the screen from below. Contrast and colour tone shifts are evident with even a slight movement off centre, and this is perhaps the main drawback in modern TN Film panels. Movie playback is often hampered by 'noise' and artefacts, especially where RTC is used. Black depth was traditionally quite poor on TN Film matrices due to the crystal alignment, however, in recent years, black depth has improved somewhat and is generally pretty good on modern screens, especially where dynamic contrast technologies are also used. In some cases it can even rival VA matrices in this regard, and certainly surpases IPS technology. TN Film is only a true 6-bit technology, but is able to offer a 16.2 million, and now even a 16.7 million, colour palette thanks to dithering and Frame Rate Control methods.

TN film panels arnt good if you want accurate color in general as well as angles mainly. Most TVs will not have them as long as they are bigger than 32inches, if they were, you would instantly notice the suckage angles.

I have never heard that, ever.....You can't possibly compare LG to Samsung/NEC/EIZO even though they got into an alliance with Philips.

Eizo, Apple, Lacie, etc., etc., all use LG panels in most of their S-IPS monitors.
