best free video editing software?

    gamecam doesn't work with windows movie maker:wtf: so whats a good, free, legal, vista 64 able video editing software?


    must be able to go slow mo, add music, support .avi, and work.

    HOLY CRAP, now i cant import the files in the timeline, all i want to do is make a TF2 gameplay video:(

    it wont let me import my gamecam videos, i can watch them in windows media player but i am yet to find a program that lets me edit them.

    similar error message, they all want some other video codec.

    so i tried xfire's video capture program (works with other games) and it doesn't work for TF2, what the heck is going on!?

    i had it and it caused BSOD's and many other problems, i uninstalled it and installed K lite and it solved everything.


    but no biggie, i got source recorder to work...so atleast i can film source games.

    thanks, i got source recorder to work though:D well for the most part, i cant figure out how to trim in the MIDDLE of my movie, i can cut off the beginning and end but not little bits in the middle 0.o someone please help.

    you have to edit the entire file then paste together the bits you want. that's the way i've done it before.

    i've used Ulead's DVD Movie Factory and that's how it does it. on one page you load up your clip and select the bits you want either out or in, then the next page is finalising or something and you click convert, although it finalises it as a DVD .vob file.

    mhm, I'll figure it out.


    anyway...has anyone used source recorder here? i am having a problem: i have made 3 recordings with SR but the i cant find the .TGA files for the last one, i named it #3 and i cant find it...is there a way to find all of my files that have been modified and or created in the last 24 hours?
