Oh! Dont forget BLOOD (Monolith Game) I played that for hours, was just amazing at his time.

Buggy as hell, but awesome fun. I wish that they would remake it with a better engine.

Someone mentioned monolith... at the time, No one lives forever 2, was great! And very entertaining. Some of the levels were hilarious. Never LAUGHED while trying to shoot bofpre. Definately worth looking at for anyone who hasnt played it. But like SOF2 SP, it DID have some lame levels too.

Sonic the Hedgehog, first game i ever played (may have been outrun)
Still if i had the master system today i would rather have sonic the hedgehog on than be playing Deus ex or any new sonic game!

Almost all the games on this list suck, except C&C which was the first PC game I played. Second was Warcraft 1 then Starcraft.

Edit: I should really pay more attention, didn't realize this list is close to 2 years old haha. But its still missing some great games.

The best game I ever played was Outcast(Action and Adventure). This is a game that is still selling for $30 at cdaccess and at many times throughout the years has been sold out and restocked (retail pkging). So others must like this older game. It offered a great overall experience that had a great storyline and wise cracks from Cutter Slade.

but a close second to that game was Homeworld (Real-Time Strategy). This one just was just a great thinking game with great visuals for its time. It was spell binding.

Homeworld was really good, too - I completely forgot about that one. Not so much for the strategy aspect, as much as the freedom of movement.

Also good: Descent - first 360 3D game, IIRC . . . damn, it took some getting used to - that was the first game I ever got motion sickness from

first console ever in my house was a master system then a mega drive, my cousins had a nes instead of a master system,i had original gameboy and cracked the screen with my head but i dropped it down the stairs to cover up, then a gmeboy color, then i had a n64 then a dreamcast then ps2 then Nintendo DS i got one on release! now xbox 360 oh the days!

BUT allways had a pc since what christams 97 pretty sure it was a windows 98, lol my brother had windows ME at one point it was so shit just like a fucked up version of windwos 2000 and windows 98

First game i ever played ever was a Sega master system game Action Fighter (PAL)
Take the motorcycle from "Hang On," equip it with high tech weaponry and give it the ability to transform itself into an aircraft or car and you've got Action Fighter!,
first Sega Mega Drive(geneis) possibly golden axe or home alone lol
first Dreamcast game was tony hawks pro skater 2!
fist nes game was super mario bros 3!
first snes game was super mario allstars or mario kart
first N64 game was super mario 64
first gameboy game was pokemon red or summit possibly the game with wario and the coins.
first gameboy advance game was pokemon pinball by accident at a GAME or wario land 3
first NDS game was super mario 64
first ps1 game was probly crash bandicoot but my fav was jackie chan stunt master!
first ps2 game was metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty
first xbox game was halo 1
first xbox 360 game was project gotham 3
first pc game was game was not lego creator as i first fought but Star wars tie fighter!
first macintosh game was in school on a crap mac with cd drive, some 3d going around a maze shooting ships in the form of diamond 3d shapes blue with no textures just plain blue and they were supposed to be spaceships or summit and you had bombs and normal shooting

best game ever has to be a pc game probly civilization 2 or half life 1

where's duke nukem forever and where's the original sam and max that was a good game

GTA: San Andreas - spent 100s of hours on it!
Oblivion
UT2004 - spent sooo much time on it, still do! BTW anyone still playing it look for a CTF server called strangelove, its a fantastic mod, i play it very often

serious sam - both First encounter and Second encounter (SS2 was shitty though)

Best? Doom 1/2 for sure.

Runner up? Half-Life 2 for sure.

Honorable mentions: FarCry, Doom 3, KOTOR, GTA: San Andreas, Halo, Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Edit: wait a minute, I owned every single one of those games for the Xbox 1! FarCry and Half-Life 2 were both better on PC (FarCry wasn't quite as open, and Half-Life 2 suffered some fps issues). Return to Castle Wolfenstein dominated on Xbox instead of PC was with its prequel story, 2 player coop, added shotgun, and Xbox Live made it more fun than standard PC online. Also, Halo was much better on Xbox.

cos its a really damn good game..... although you cant say that its even in the same class as stuff like HL2 and far cry, cos theres hardly any point in playing it over and over.
heck, if you have never played it, grab a copy off amazon, its a fiver for a good few hours of awesome fun

Lol, kidding. Oblivion for me is a first.

Also, I like the building options in The Sims2, and the way the 'individual characters' develop a relationship with each other when AI is left on 'auto' The game's a bit tedious to play though, I end up doing it on speed 2 or 3 to hurry it up!

Oblivion though, I've played it for over 300 hours (with only 2 characters) and I just can't quit - if I get tired of the game I end up just staring at the graphics
