a mate says his mates pc is better than mine.is it?

his pc is-athlon 64 3800+,1 gig ram,agp x800xt.its about 5 years old.

look at the spec of mine and tell me is his better or not?

sorry for this post but he annoyed me so i will show him this to shut him up.

thank you.

1. No 3800+ is older than 5 years, they came out in 2004
2.It depends on the application, wether the athlon64 or the PentiumD is fatser, but yours is overclocked, so i guess its faser than a 3800+ on stock clocks
3. your video card is a bit slower than his x800xt

besides the obvious AMD/Intel thing, i would say you got him beat easili in motherboard and cpu choice:toast: the dual core will easily outperform an athlon 64 3800 even if its overclocked. If his is the 3800 X2 that evens things out a bit but with your overclock i still say you would own him. Your vidcard looks like an r430 12pipe card and he has got you beat there as the r420? x800 xt is a bit faster, a bit better clocker, but graphics are everchanging and you will get more out of your system if you both upgraded to better cards of the same make. I love my x800 gto R423 core card w/16p (pci/e though), which "basically" is the same as his and mine overclocks insanely. Even though his is agp that card still has some kick in it but your upgrade paths are alot more open.Memory is another area you will always beat him DDR2 is the future and unless hes got some insane overclocking DDR it still wouldn't put him ahead. If he is waiting to upgrade now is the time as all s939 cpu prices dropped drastically even dual core. Am2 is out but from what I have read Intel is going to be ahead a bit till DDR3 support is implemented on a new cpu architecture. Congrats on your rig, but I would look into an x1900 GT or X1800 GTO and you will leave him in the dust.:rockout:
