First I want to wish anyone looking at this thread a very Merry Christmas
Secondly I was bored today, waiting for the kids and grand kids to get here so I figured "what the hell" and I took the 2tb Elements enclosure apart just to see if it in fact had a Black drive in it..........Well this is my finding
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now for anyone wondering if this will void the warranty; there is no seam tape across the
bottom of this enclosure, so I am not so sure WD could even detect the enclosure being
opened up. It is held together with just some internal clips, and if you take a simple pocket
knife and insert in the seam it will pop right open. Once opened up just simply lift at the
back side of the drive (there are rubber deals on the drive) and it will pop right out
