Hello.

So today I decided to build a budget gaming pc. I have 650 € in my wallet. Favorite game is CS:GO and it has a high focus on CPU I would love to get atleast 200 stable FPS. Because now I have OC E8400 to 3.6 GHz and a GTX 460 1GB and all settings made to low and I only manage to get 80-130 FPS not stable. I would love to try some other games also !

This is my build what do you think ? What could I improve ?

Thank you all for help !

CSGO likes single core performance, and there is really no good reason to go with an FX chip ATM.

I would suggest an i3-41xx and a R9 270/270x. The 270 is probably better value for the GPU, especially on CSGO, where anything above a 260x probably is good enough, and the i3 4170 often is the same price as the 4130 but has a lot more single thread performance than the FX

+1 to the Intel route, CSGO is 90% processor driven, and favours high per core performance which the FX 6300 won't give you. An i3 would better serve you, or a non-K i5 if you can afford it will provide some longevity to the system.

Also, I wouldn't go with the Corsair CX PSU's, they're not particularly well made.

If your only goal is more frames in CS GO, I would just upgrade your video card. CS GO does not need a powerful CPU. Something like a 750TI would be a good place to start.

This is all from newegg on sales combo. Since you are wanted to play CSGO, this is a very cheap build.
http://www.newegg.com/Special/Combo...&kwd=g3258&ListType=Combo&action=search&item=

This is the first option with out the Graphic cards, You can get a GTX 760 or GTX 960 added to this combo

EVGA 02G-P4-2966-KR GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2GB - $205

Try lambda tek, they might be better for the small components price wise even with shipping from uk...

Welcome and your build is decent for mobo i recommend Gigabyte 970a ud3p and yeah WD black is overpriced so take Seagate 1TB

I don't think that OP will only play CS:GO or will you?

This!!

also getting a "K" i5 will make it even more future proof but you will need a B85/z97 chipset to take full advantage of overclock capabilities on a "K" i5, I use to play CS:GO on my gaming hardware, getting 300+Stable FPS, all settings on ultra but no V-Sinc, on this game V-sinc destroy all stable gameplay,

also I have noticed that is not single core lover, CS:GO uses pretty much my core#0, #2 and #3, Core #1 Is normally used,

Correct, Seagate are flawless

Thats a pretty decent hardware, but i will replace Power supply,

I think the Source Engine got multicore rendering back in 2006, so it should use as many cores as available.
Should. I don't pretend that we live in an ideal world :D

The CSGO Reddit has a place where people note down their system specs and framerates per resolution. Kinda useful I guess.

I guess so too, also every damn time that I tried to play there is a minimum 50MB update to do at system prior play, and guess what? there the same game ... i bet there are several bug fixes realeased and also some minimal changes on some textures,

Sorry friend but you are wrong CS:GO has huge focus on CPU.
but not forget that a strong GPU will provide 3D graphics, also will help to a Smooth gaming experience on this one,

a bit over budget but not too much
vga is on the weak side but atm there is no point to invest in expensive vga. soon amd will launch new gpus and there will be price adjustments for all old cards.
if you ok to play a little bit more on low settings i would advice you to skip vga now and to use igpu till r9 390 comes. you will be able to take same things on better prices or if you manage to save some more you can even get better vga

Maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm not. It doesn't really matter. My point is that you can just buy a new video card of your choice before you buy anything else and find out for yourself. Put the new video card in your current PC. If you then get enough frames, you don't have to buy the new CPU, mobo, RAM, etc. If you don't, you just go ahead with the rest of your upgrade plans and move that new video card to your new PC.

So this pc would give me stable 200 fps on CS:GO ? What do you think if I upgrade my main board and cpu and leave same GTX 460 1 GB. This would save me HDD (55 euros), CASE(23 euros) I would also need to upgrade RAMS.

It matters because there are more than just a few sites that says CS:GO is CPU bound. Im not too sure what that amounts to in numbers of CS:GO players but since CS:GO is a competitive game, even a small fraction of players, lets just say 5-10k for sake of argument, who say the opposite makes your opinion invalid.

If a load of people are telling you youre going to fall off a cliff if you keep walking in the same direction, are you going to ignore them and carry on walking in the same direction just because you wanted to see if you'll really fall off a cliff then you can go back and tell the people that you fell off the cliff??

Everyone says CS:GO is CPU bound, why waste money buying a graphics card just to find out if it really is when people already know that it is?

Its just a complete and utter no brainer and somewhat moronic as youre potentially telling someone to ignore the good advice/information that they are being given.

cant guarantee it will give you 200fps (i've never have played cs:go) but it has much more cpu power then fx6300. if you have problems with lag in game you should look at your network and monitor too.
keeping your gtx460 for some more time is a good option too. it is quite over cs:go requirements and you'll have better staring position for savings.
if your case is in good shape and can fit matx mb you can keep it too. those 2 and hdd will save you 250 euros.
if you go this way you can invest part of this saving for better mb http://www.skytech.lt/gaz97d3h-giga...00-sata3-raid-hdmi-dvi-dsub-atx-p-192841.html and you still will have about 200 saved for vga

Pretty sure the GTX 460 is capable of doing 200 FPS CS:GO. I honestly don't think you need to replace that, which feels up a lot of money for a stronger CPU, which bring me to my suggestions of what to get. I do not suggest a full system upgrade. Honestly, with your limited budget, I'm willing to bet that you would be good with just a CPU/MB/RAM upgrade while reusing your current hard drive, case, and GTX 460.
