Select the your video card in the top tab, then click load bios. You MUST have the default bios. If you don't have, run GPU-Z and get it there or from the vga collection

Gotcha, lol, I thought it could pull the bios off itself, lol!

Okay, I tried kup's and it went okay using winflash. But it was very unstable running 3dmark 06. And sounded like a hair dryer!!! Kept failing. So I am now on this bios:

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/5107/HIS.HD3870.512.071224.html

An untouched turbo BIOS. Seems to work great, no problems running 3dmark, never went above 70*C during tests and fan spun up nicely without making a racket.
For anyone trying this. When you press program on winflash, the whole system appears to lock. I thought I had f**ked my graphics  . But after a minute or so, it comes up to say complete :respect: . And dont forget to use overdrive to make sure you can run the clocks stable first, or it might not boot!! Thanks for everyone's help. Wonder why it seems more stable using bios than overdrive??

Good luck to anyone else!!!

EDIT: Talking of temps, the two cores on my e6600 @ 3Ghz, were just under 60*C during 3dmark. That an okay temp. Die temp was about 40*C.

I've been using this updated (Feb 2008) HIS Turbo bios on my 3870 ICEQ3, for the last few weeks with no problems.

Link is to NCIX posting of HIS tech support email with HIS direct download link of updated bios

Just checked that out in RBE and it seems to be running @ 850/1190 all the time, doesnt down clock, would probably use it if it wasnt for that. But this bios is running really well atm.
Thanks anyway. ;)
