Why is it that any time I see you communicate an idea there are two truths? The first being that poor English is a constant, and the second is that you will choose the most bombastic way to represent your idea without regards to how much of a jerk you are being.

You've obviously got some sort of anger with codec packs, but they are a necessity. MPC has some features, but will not come close to playing all files correctly. While my experience with k-lite is less than good (read; install, frustrated in 5 minutes, uninstall), CCCP has done an excellent job since 2008 (back when zoomplayer was bundled with it). I'd love to see you try to use MPC vanilla to play a gabest media format file, or Quicktime movie...

k now run along CCCP is a blight on the world of video its unnecessary now a days

well since your using win7 it should be working fine or just download the specific codec you needed seeing as you have a working net.

well imo if someone doesn't have a great English grammar it wouldn't even matter (since I have bad grammar my self) since he or she won't even get rich typing in perfect grammar.

Some people would actually smack you for having bad grammar well it's their choice and for the one being dissed well just ignore it and both are happy ^_^.

only mods are allowed to be arrogant. CCCP is one of (if not the best) codec packs out there.

1) For the love of God, either make a complete sentence, or stop writing.
2) You have an opinion, that is one possible answer to the problem, but does not actually answer the OPs question. You are therefore not right. This is simple logic.
3) You don't earn the right to be an arrogant bastard by giving out opinions you trumpet as facts, and showing that you are incapable of intellectual maturity beyond "because I said so."
4) Mussels has it right...

Poor grammar, or occasional typos are a common occurrence. Those red lines that show up while typing are there for a reason.

If you're ESL, then I respect that you can get your ideas across. Look at some of the posts I answer. 100% respect for those that don't speak English natively, because they are trying. Those that speak English, but choose to butcher it, need to have a reprimand. Just because this is the internet doesn't mean you can forego proper communication.

No, they certainly aren't a necessity. As I said, if you need a codec, install the individual codec, you don't need to install a shitton of them just to play one format.

I play both just fine without install any codec pack, I just install a single codec for each, simple.

28.8 MB. That is the size of my CCCP folder at the moment. Individual codecs often generate their own installers, and do enough monkeying with settings to make finding out why something isn't working more of a perverse scavenger hunt rather than a clean problem.

I don't know what you have against codec packs, but for most people they make sense. Download one thing once, then all of those files just play. I'll take a "shitton" of codecs that make everything just work, rather than having to install a new codec for every new file type (not to mention the ensuing clutter), everyday of the week. If you are willing to deal with that crap (not to mention finding a source, installation, and configuration for playback) then you are more patient than I am...
