I don't know if any of you have had this issue, but I'm getting a 3DMark06 score of 10,000 because my frames are capped to 60.

This happens in Crysis too. I used to get 48 AVG, now 38 because of vSync.

I've forced it off, re-installed the drivers.. nothing.

Is there any way to fix this?

do a clean install of the nvidia drivers, when your installing click custom install and check the box that says clean install

I did that.

Now when I force it off, the menus and loading pages are forced off (FPS in the thousands) but when the game/benchmark actually loads.. it's capped to 60.

Odd stuff.

Any 3rd party software/profile software you are using at all like Nvidia inspector/nvidia control panel?

Yes, sure.

I'm using Afterburner, made sure it was reset.
I'm using nVidia Inspector, also reset with no overclocking.

The thing is, I remember having this issue on my 8800 GTS 512s.

You know, where you get 63FPS capped and lots of tearing instead of 60FPS.

It's like when the game tries to force vSync off but it's not strong enough.

Usually forcing it off in the CP fixed its wagon.. but no more.

EDIT:

I tried downloading the 260 drivers, but it said that my hardware was incompatible (?)

Let me guess, you are on 266 driver set? If you are using a 460 SE, yes it would be incompatible.

Actually, it's a GTX 460 with GTX 460 SE BIOS (RMA Process to come).

So I guess I'm stuck with 266 like the 500-series.

I've already done a clean install. Anything else I could try?

I seem to be the most unlucky with nVidia drivers.

Hmmm ...

Yah, go through the RMA process because it is a known issue. I myself even experienced it on 266's and reverted back to 260's. I'd rather see you do thee rma than try to flash/brick the card.
