Case Choice Assistance (Mid Tower)

Hey guys,

I was wondering what is the main difference between the 2 Antec Dark Fleet Cases.
Looks to me the only difference are the fans in it.
Was also wondering which one overall is better between these cases.

Thermaltake case fans < Antec case fans on low speed

Set the Antecs on high and they become "loud airflow with some whine" annoying. The Thermaltake fans are just always annoying as the ones I've had (that come with cases) always has the same annoying whine to them. They need to be below 1000 rpms for it to disappear.

The DF-30 has blue led fans and a top mounted hot-swappable 2.5" SSD slot...

The Antecs also have the advantage that the front (intake) fans are sitting in doors, which can be opened to clean out the filters...

thats pretty much 100% true. Ive found the exact same thing.

They look cooler but thermaltake fans emit a high pitched squeal/whine/annoying sound even at low rpm. Ive never had them below 1000, but regardless, the fans are shit. You can get better yate loons for $6 a pop at 1300 rpm that you won't hear.

I wouldnt base your case decision on fans either way, very few cases have OEM fans worth keeping. Also I hate to sound negative, but those darkfleets are f**** ugly.

I would say to get any antec you want bus as akward as it can sound put cheap stock coolermaster fans in it like the ones they put in newer CM cases . Full black and mostly quiet their 120mm

The major difference that I see (besides fan config.) is that the DF-30 is a little taller and the DF-10 has a 2.5" hot swap bay. The front bezels also have a different design which could change function when accessing drives ,fans or filters.

DF-30 has two fans in front also and DF-10 doesn't.

I would go with either of the Antecs. I have a Two Hundred V2 and really like it.

phanbuey, so far I don't mind keeping Cooler Master and Antec fans since the TwoCool fans can be kept low speed and quite and CM case fans don't run fast enough to make noise. Though I do agree on the Yate Loon fans.

Looks like I am replacing the fans which is what I was kind of expecting.
DF 30 it is (hot swap is a pretty cool feature).

i just picked up a Lian Li PC-A05NB for $90.00 pretty nice case if i do say so myself lol
