changed hdd settings for raid, and now i think i've got problems

Discussion in 'General Hardware' started by psychomage343, Sep 14, 2006.

  1. i made the mistake a while back of changing the bit size or whatever it is in the nvidia raid config tool on my dfi board. I can't remember what it said stock, but i changed it, and never did a format as i've got 300 gigs of saved data, and i don't have anywhere to temporarily store it. The problems i'm having are even without an overclock windows media player or any player for that matter will crash during a video, mp3/cd/wma all play fine, just video's. Firefox/ie/ and any browser i can get my hands on also crashes from time to time. I've switched everything out for other hardware to eliminate variables, new cpu, new video card, new ram. even a new psu, and still no luck. Can anybody shed some light, did i just corrupt my hdd and anything that's been on it since i set this computer up?
