I got all my WC stuff used except for my tubing and fittings.

D-Tek Fuzion V1 CPU/GPU blocks, Corsair branded MCP350, Swiftech rad, and some compressor fittings I got from harbor freight that appear to be galvanized steel. tubing is from home depot, and coolant is distilled water w/ some pt nuke

I'm not sure if the fittings will cause corrosion

does anyone know???

I wouldnt use galvanized steel with my water.

Not only will it rust internally, it may case a galvanic reation between the different metals.

a week isnt all that long, but you may want to look into what the two mwtals can do to each other.

Ususally with watercooling, if the maker uses a disimilar metal, it is plated to keep this from occuring. I did a lot of plumbing, and if galinized is used, its bad news. I can only assume it would happen in a loop, just takes longer to see it.

Stainless might be a better option, but I dont know for sure.

If you are going to a box store (home depot, lowes, that type) ask the guy in the section about it. If you explain what metals you have, and your concerns, I bet they will lead you in the right direction;)

brass would be the best since copper and brass avec very close in the galvanic corrosion chart.

galvanized steel will definately corrode. the best way to figure out whats best to use is take a magnet with you, if its NOT aluminum and it doesnt react to the magnet it should work. steal has a tendancy to rust even plated steel, do a goolge search of koolance compression fittings and corrosion almost all of the threads that pop up are of people making it known that those comps rust or all older ones anyways because they were nickel plated steel even though koolance had them as "nickel plated brass", not sure about stainless but I tihnk it will corrode it will just take longer. get some brass fittings m8 you can get them at almost any hardware store cheap, bring your block with you so you know the threads match up but any of them that say 1/4 threaded should fit, and grab o-rings while your at it.
