Well, I just got my 2nd HD 4850 and I finally got my computer, CCC, etc to recognize it. Everything looks somewhat okay (GPU-Z has the drop down for 2 cards and CCC has 2 cards registered on hardware info.)
When I though I actually solved something myself, I try to play a game on steam and I check system info on steam and low and behold, it says sli/crossfire not detected.
I tried everything but it still says that and is there anyway I can know for sure that the crossfire cards are in fact working?
Another note to add is that when I do use GPU-Z, I see the % change on the first card, but when I scroll down to the 2nd, it always on 0%. I think i saw it go to 5% two or three times but i didn't know if that was just a little glitch from switching between the two GPU-Z screens.
Please help! I'm sick of worrying and just want to play with my new comp!
I feel as if the crossfire is not working because I did the video stress test for half life: lost coast and it resulted in 130ish fps. I believe i read somewhere where results were much higher.
