Diablo 2 1.13 (Constantly crashing online)

Reset was tuesday along with the new patch 1.13.

The game is totally unplayable due to servers constantly crashing.

Symptoms:

1) Sart new game / join, everything running smoothly.
2) All of a sudden, elements of the game stop working, however i can still move around, view my inventory etc.
3) About 30 seconds later i get "Your connection has been interrupted"
4) If I try and rejoin the game i get "Game does not exist"
5) I am also unable to create a new game, it just hangs.
6) All other B.Net chat commands etc work fine, even from within the "hung" game before it boots me out.
7) I am unable to do anything with that character for usually 10-15 minutes.
8) When it finally lets me create a new game, it usually has rolled me back at last saved point.

I'm playing on Europe realm. Other realms are also affected. I've posted on Blizzard's forum along with hundreds of other upset users.

Anyone here in the same boat?

Well so far im a tad disappointed..I was under the impression the patch would offer widescreen support.

They could atleast add bigger resolution or atleast vista and win7 full support without color glitches.

They fixed the server crash thing. All is good now.

Did you try to check "Disable desktop composition" under the compatibility tab?

Did anyone get the scaling to work correctly?
