Hi all,

Hope you can help. I have a Asus X800 NON PRO VIVO card and would like to flash it to a X800XL NON PRO VIVO Bios however when I look at the bios database the original Bios size is 64K and the new Bios size is 58K would this make a difference if I was to flash it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, it makes a difference. See if you can check the BIOS file before attempting any flash with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I have re-downloaded the bios again and the size is the same.(58K) my original bios is the only one out of the range of cards that has (64K)

So the bottom line is I can not do it?

Well I wouldn't trust it, but hey, that's my vision.
It would be slightly safer in my opinion if the BIOS passes validation within RBE or ATIWinflash or something. 58k also seems a bit off compared to regular sizes (32/64/128 etc), hence my distrust.

It might also be perfectly fine, but I'm not sure and I won't brick a card on it.

Hi Sneeky,

Yes I have checked the size on them and MY Asus & Sapphire is 64k and the others are 58k.

Was not going to use the sapphire one because of the different mem. But the few I want to

use are all 58k and don't want to brick the card if I can help it.
