    8400 is 3gig @ 1333. So I gather that 1333 / 4 = 333.25 so 3000 / 333.25 = 9

    Does that sound right erocker?? :)

    I read this showing that there is now unlock multi. that go to .5.. Am I right???

    The only new recent Intel processor under $100 is actually going to be based on "old tech". The e1200 Celeron.

    Well, either they don't have them yet, and this is buy.com's way of pre order, or they are sold out already. In any event, I went through a terrible experience with buy.com, and will never buy from them again.

    I think actually the new intels' do have half multi's IF your mobo's bios supports it :D

    I'll BRB and go find that article :toast:

    Dual 45 nm processors overclock quite well to 4.6-4.7 GHz in air. These experiments were used in engineering designs Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16 GHz), which are overclocked at the maximum value 9.5 x multiplier. It is also known that 45 nm Intel processors will receive the step of 0.5 x multiplier.
