I'm selling a really nice e8500. Stable at 4.32ghz on 1.38. I've tested stable up to 4.62ghz. This chip is limited by my Maximus Formula, as the board itself will only scale up to 487. VID is 1.225. No pics of prime stability right now. I'm running it on a stock cooler, waiting for my new cooler to arrive, so I won't be able to push it that high. I'll see what I can do though.

same vid i have, they run cool.

im looking for lower vid to oc higher as temps dont mean much because im on phase.

@POOLESOFT that probably your motherboard then many E8400 can do 3.6ghz at just stock volts.

This chip has been limited only by my motherboard's fsb wall, which is 487. My guess is this chip will go much higher.

some have found the performance of the e8500 beats the e8600 for some reason at lower clock speeds.... let me dig and try and find that article, bump.

Yeah I read a couple articles about that, the whole C0 vs E0...good and great, but I'm content with my chip, and as easily as it hits 4.5GHz, losing a couple points in a bench don't bother me. Games FPS can go either way from what I've seen. I decided to go with the higher OC-ing chip this round, not saying the 8500 is a bad chip by any means...I may still get one in the future...who knows! I haven't decided if I wanna keep the 8600 yet!

I've been very tempted to throw this chip in my DFI board, since it scales better than this Maximus Formula, but I've been too busy. Kursah, yeah it's like a trade off b/t CO and EO chips, which works out about even in most cases.
