Solid certainly will never hurt but electrolytic doesn't automatically mean relatively poor clocks and/or lifespan.
that is a good point.
I'm sure a high quality electrolytic cap will outlive some cheap low-end solid caps any day.
You can't base your choice on if it has solid caps or not. You have to look at the quality of caps being used.
electrolytic doesn't automatically=bad
and
solid doesn't always=good
I'm real tempted on the $30 750i to replace my P5B...
Ive got an e2140 coming in that would be great to pair with that 750i, just don't think I will have the money for the rest of the rig for a little while. Decisions decisions.
