I would be concerned if my card (29idle/50load) would run at hose temps... is it normal for nvidia7?

i dunno, but my pc seems to run kinda hot for some reasoin, im mainly worried about my cpu because it stays at low hi 30's to low 40's as an idle and i was wondering why, am i putting to much thermal grease? to little? im using as5 which makes me worry a bit more because as5 is supposed to keep it nice and cool. i replaced my heat sink yesterday and the max temp i got so far was bordering 60 (using cpu-burn in) and i was wondering if that was safe. because it seems high even the stock heatsink doesnt go that high. thanks for any help i can get on this. reading a magazine that ran my heatsink on a processor it ran for an hour on cpu burn-in and got 44 (c) and thats like my idle temp so i was wondering if anybody knew what was wrong. necause i dont want to burn out my cpu or anything.

Seems alittle warm...what are the stock clocks for your GTX? The reference is 430/600, but many companies overclock the cards. If it's stock, that does seem a bit too warm.

As for your CPU, if that's a Prescott, then it might run that hot. If it's a Northwood or any A64 I would say there's something not right. Maybe you need better/more fans in your case?

i think the stock is 450/600 but i usally keep it at 490/650 and its fine

and for my cpu its a sandy fx-57. i already have 2x120mm one cooling the hdds 2x80 mm fans blowing air out of the case i believe i took time wiring so that it keeps away from the stuff so i really have no idea

alright, with clocks like that then those temps on the vid card are ok.

As for the CPU, that is way too hot...mmm...does the heatsink feel warm? Could just be the board reporting bogus temps

overall the heatsink doesnt feel that hot, is there a way to find out if the board is reporting wrongly? is it an bios issue or purely a hardware issue

heres some more temps

sys 30
room 30
pwm 36

80 something in farenheight which it doesnt feel like. so it really might be my mb

It could be a BIOS problem, or it could be a hardware problem. If the processor was really running at 60degrees load, the heatsink should feel fairly warm. My guess is that the board is just reporting wrong. Maybe try flashing with a new BIOS?

i re-tested and it seemed to be around 54c 57c max it did feel a tad bit warm when i got back does that mean its really running hot? and if so what could be the problem and how it can be fixed b/c i dont want to burn out my processor
