As long as I cant even get past the launcher (nothing seems to help, it crashes before the main menu) I'm not going to even attempt to play it.

The story sucks, at least compared to FO3, now that was an awesome story.

meh Fallout 3 was a mess wl

Played it twice, no mess from my POV.
Good GFX given the scale
VATS is excellent IMO
Huge open world
Excellent imagery
Acceptable use of physx
proper day night cycle
story was more than acceptable
50-150hrs of fun.

It scored well at every gaming review site, and is well regarded by gamers on every gaming forum I've been to.

If it had the sound quality of Vegas, and some hi res textures here and there+ the real time gunplay of Vegas, it would be the best PC game ever made IMO.

there's mods for all of that on falloutnexus, "fps" mode for guns so there's no bullet bending, re-textures for nearly everything, and there's some sound mods as well.

most of the time, mods just make my games crash, so I don't bother other than racing games where they're isolated downloads not integrated into the entire game.

I've never had an issue with any of the mods on falloutnexus, they're great for self-policing the bad mods.

meh Fallout 3 was a mess why ppl praise a game that its DLC breaks continuity on and just tends to be idiotic is beyond me granted it was nice to continue after the main story for sure but if thats the case they never should have killed my character off either lol.

New Vegas i feel is the better game, overall in terms of gameplay, in terms of story fallout 3 has the edge, but New Vegas i liked the factions and overall control i had where as with Fo3 i had 0 control in that sense. overall though i feel both games are entirely overrated there fun for what they are but nothing ground breaking or new. just more of the same, that said i do have around 120hrs in Fo3 and 70-80hrs in New Vegas, and i feel both games are entirely crap without mods lol

I agree with you on FO3 versus New Vegas. 3 is more of a Tactics style game due to it being removed from the area 1 and 2 are set. New Vegas feels as though it's the proper continuation of 1 and 2 due to as already mentioned taking place in the same geographical location as 1 and 2.
I've been downloading many stock and lore friendly mods for both 3 and New Vegas. Of course with the obligatory female characters being busty. I've only played Vanilla of both for 360. I aim to remedy that with buying 3 GotYE for PC soon.

Alright! As far as I'm concerned, a new DLC would be the only thing to make this game better.

Well, the patch became available on Steam 3 days ago... (and I haven't tested the game for improvements ) but so far there's no sign of a possible DLC :ohwell:
