Come on Sega...release Skies of Arcadia HD on PC when they release this!

Honestly I always wanted to play FF7 but before I could buy it, the game was so spoiled by everyone I knew plus the magazines at the time that I just put it off till I finally forgot about it.

Day 1 purchase for me. FF7 is one of my all time favorites. They better not fix the Averanche engrish in it.

So is this another "HD Version"?

Why can't they just remake it with all new awesome graphics like FF13. that would be fantastic!

awesome. Huge FF guy here. Love the oldies. I still have FF X for PS2. I don't even own a ps2 anymore. Still got the game though lol. I'm not big on the turn style playing and always running into op up combat situations. I'd rather it be more like mmo where you can go kill anything you want. But the graphics, scenery and story are awesome. Sweet find on this. Gonna keep my eyes open for this one when it does hit steam.

    I'm a die-hard FFVII purist, so I'm glad they didn't change anything..

But I've been playing the game at 1920x1080/2560x1600 w/16xQAA for over half a decade now..

All you need are the original discs (mint condition :p) and a PS1 emulator.

    It runs on a P4.

Well, I could do with less 'attack while the tail is up'...because stuff like that just isn't cool.

'This guy are sick', though, priceless.

So is the futuristic assumption and third-person mention of foolery.

Either way, the terrible translation is a nostalgia bond we'll all share forever.

I believe he meant the US released Final Fantasy III (VI in the series). It was the third released in the US so they changed the number so the locals wouldn't be confused.

There has been hints the next Dreamcast batch Sega is porting is going to have Shenmue 1 and Skies of Arcadia. Likely will hit console arcade first and then PC later.

But Skies of Arcadia did in fact have a near finished PC port done years ago. I was part of SoAworld back in the day and caught the teasers from it by folks who were given a chance to mess with the beta. It played really well and the image quality was so smooth compared to original. Plus you could increase the resolution from the DC's stock 640x480. Trouble was Sega canceled the project right before completion then shifted resources to Skies of Arcadia: Legends. As much as I like the inclusion of Paistol and some of the other content, I just find myself playing the original more often than Legends.

So literally we could have a SoA PC almost anytime. I already plan to buy multiple copies for friends and myself.
    KainXS and timmyisme22 say thanks.

Let's hope the super-long cut-scene for summons are shortened.

I doubt they're really going to do much with the graphics on this. Hell, they could just re-release the original PC version exactly the same as it was and people will still pay $60 for it I bet.
lol VIII is my favorite. I'd love to see that actually "revamped" for PC.

Speaking of the music, they already have orchestrated versions of the music for Advent Children ;)

lol each to their own, i think the FF8 5 disc' pc version is already thrown away or still somewhere in lying on my ol hometown XD
Ive only played it once, never played it again, FF7 i think i played twice along with playing it in the emulator, FF9 is i played the most, maybe because its more like going back to its roots in the glorious 2D SNES FF days :)

I have played everyone made and released and rereleased state side (even mystic quest which I did like for the SNES). Have to say 1, 3, 7, 8*cheesy gay love story that is a dream but was kind of cool, I liked junctioning* 9 (was kind of cool) and even 12 were my favorites. I even played the japanese versions. I am a die hard purist FF king, lol. I played this on the PS1 and loved it. Loved all the extras you could get the underwater materia to beat the super weapons, etc. I hope they do this right on the pc for graphics and enhanced story.

Not to mention the sephiroth! song is the most awesomest badest ass song in the whole gaming genre. That is a jam you could drive fast too, work out too, and generally beat the hell out of someone to like in a fight movie lol

I think it would be a horrible cop out to release this game as it was on the PS2.. It would be an insult to ff7 to not give it the care it deserves with a full overhaul.. A ported game would be an insult as far as I'm concerned..
