Do you know about memory training, which can cause huge delays when booting?

Won't even display in bios when Expo is enabled. It will however display the values that it should achieve.

Flashed the bios to the most recent version, but the Mushkin set will still not boot with Expo...they work just fine in the daily driver. Now the two sticks of GSkill will boot with Expo...wondering if running four sticks with Expo previously may have stressed something in this mb. I don't recall ever populating every memory slot on a motherboard before this one. Just to be safe I pulled all four sticks of the Tridents out of the daily and put the Mushkins back in.

Just now tried two of the Trident sticks and it did boot, but not in Expo...it accepted XMP. Expo is not even shown in the bios.



Here is the Mushkin memory in the daily...Expo displays normally in bios and is reflected in cpu-z as well. I just don't know what to think about this atm. RMA or let it ride.

Screw it...not wasting any more time with it. It's obviously bugged. Started the RMA process and I'm taking it apart this morning.

I do not know if you noticed but I tested a slim 280 rad in the overclock section of the forum. Yesterday evening I tested a thick 360 rad and the difference IS HUGE. For example at 6°C delta, slim 280 cools 170W and thick 360 rad 400W!

This is WRONG!!! After fixing my calculation, the performances of the rads are very close to each other! Thick 360 has only about 5% better cooling performance than the slim 280.
