I changed my aunts password on her laptop and I forgot it.

I tried opening up a cmd sheel and tried net user, but her name doesnt show up on the network. How can I change if from the bios or something?

No can't be changed, unless you can access the admin account in safemode.

you can also try ERD commander.

but that is in the case if the password is for OS

if its a bios password you would have to try to reset the bios by using a jumper.
Or getting a master password from the manufacturer

If that doesnt work, you can try working through DOS to find it but I dont know if you can. You may have to reformat...

this si sort of dumb, but when it gets to the boot screen option, what do i press to get into safe mode.

My rig usually just has an option to on the bootscreen, just like if you want to get into the bios.

Um, are we talking about a windows password?

Lookup a program called Active Password Changer, its a bootable cd that will remove windows passwords :)

If it's a bios password, reset the bios *not so easy with some notebooks*

Ultimate boot CD has a nice tool that can reset Windows passwords. Just make sure to clear it, don't try to change it. That often doesn't work.
