FrozenCPU - Might be out of Business

There are rumors that FrozenCPU might be going out of business. No one is answering the phone at FrozenCPU, and the packages ordered from them or sent back as RMA are not being processed or shipped.
What is really going on no one know exactly, an official statement from the company hasn't been issued yet, but Mark Friga is telling Steve over at HardForums that they are NOT going out of business, but that they are running a skeleton crew while getting back up to 100%. While things are not 100% back to normal people are advised to "DO NOT ORDER UNTIL WE HEAR FROM FROZENCPU OFFICIALLY ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE"

I thought I share these news here since there are many TPU users that probably use FrozenCPu to order their water cooling gear.

I don't think they are going out of business but who knows right now. Mostly I've seen that they must have had some problems with a group of employees that had to be let go so they are running with a skeleton crew for now. It seems one of the possibly disgruntled ex employees started a rumor that the owner was battling addiction and ruined the company so it's closing it's doors.

Yeah that was mentioned in the video but I felt like not mentioning that, since it was hardly even a rumor. I'm not even sure if they are going out of business that's why I wrote "might be going out of business".
I guess we have to wait for the official announcement on their site.

BTW I dont know why I thought they were in Germany not New York.

the owner and his buddies was also charged with trespassing and a DWI back in JAN which around here means hes in pretty deep they aren't coming back,they all went out got drunk and stupid and got arrested

Man I really hope they make it, been ordering parts from them for years, everything has always been delivered in a timely fashion and good packaging. Some of the stuff they sell can't be easily found in the US either.

Wish the best to them, and hope they are back to 100% soon.

Bummer. I have ordered 90% of my watercooling gear from FrozenCPU. Good company back then with great service.

I wish them luck, but their long silence / lack of communication with customer base about what happened and then only a short note with nothing more has made be wary. I will have to see them selling and delivering good CS for awhile before I would order from them. And I'm probably not the only one who feels this way .. meaning most of us probably won't be ordering .. no customers = no business = no company.

It isn't just the customers they have to worry about. They sell their stuff on consignment. So the product manufacturers send them the product and FrozenCPU doesn't pay anything, then when they sell something, they pay the manufacturer for the item and keep their cut. They weren't communicating with the manufacturers either, so they pissed them off. No product = no business = no company.

They've got an uphill battle, they've basically ruined years of good reputation in a month.

I'm sure they don't exactly want to make what really happened public, especially if the rumors are true that the owner went on a drug bender and pissed off all the warehouse workers so they left, but I think they really need to if they want restore some good reputation.

Once they are back up I'll probably order something small, ~$20, just to see how it goes.

The ruined their good reputation in a week! That's all it took for most of us customers. I suspect their suppliers felt the same after a week of silence.

Trust is something we all need .. and very hard to rebuild once it's lost.

I'm not that remiss about frozencpu going down just checked and I've only ordered 3 things from them over the past several years. I've found their prices were higher, but I never had an issue with them.

I've used the tubing from Home Depot, and it worked alright, only thing was some build up inside the tube. But I'd use it again if I were in a pinch.

My pump I bought from them failed not to long ago. I contacted XSPC and they said to deal with returns through FrozenCPU. Guess what... I can't contact frozen CPU.

I don't know what to do.
