It's simple maths, okay well then go and tell Wizzard that the freezer 3 240mm is in the wrong spot on the AM5 results.
There are about 3 or 4 360mm coolers that run a few degrees warmer.

Sorry, now I'm done.
I just needed to find the review that had the similar results to my set up.

I bought a Vega 64 Gigabyte and the temps were super high. When I opened the GPU 1/3 of the chip had no Thermal paste. Once I corrected that temps were again fine. Then when I bought a 6500XT Gigabyte with 3 fans it again had high temps. Once again I took the GPU apart and once again it was the same issue. Those GPUs are years apart which means that the Gigabyte Auto is not too good.

to be honest in the end it really does not matter.
they all perform the same and zotac has the longest warranty which is the only relevant thing if you're not super rich and can just dispose the GPU when it might break in a year and a half.
you can grab the zotac, enjoy a 5 year warranty and ignore that the GPU is 10° warmer than a strix. and if you are in europe everything from Palit/Gainward/KFA2 etc. is sold under XpertVision and has NO warranty outside of the enforced one by law if applicable.
I know that they perform the same, but I don't want something hot and loud like Gainward Ghost or MSI Ventus.

I just double checked, all gpu's come with 3year warranty, With Gigabyte you get +1year if you register it.
Zotac had +1 or 2 years with 30 series and older, but they dont offer extended warranty for 40 series.

Well just look for a bulky one with 3 fans, those are usually cooler and quieter

Yeah but it's Gigabyte RMA. Not quite like Asus (may as well not have a warranty), but high chance you'll be tearing your hair out

You first gotta make a distinction whether you are looking at a 4070 family card or 4080 family card. On just the Eagle and Windforce versions alone the two are very different. I have an original 301mm Eagle and it's alright, but they quickly revised it to the v2.0 that has a completely different 261mm cooler. iirc Windforce shares a very similar if not identical finstack and PCB. The 4080 family Eagles are much bigger; can't really say if the 261mm Eagle is better or worse, but if they're confident enough to put it on the 4070 Ti Super it can't be all that bad.

I wouldn't hesitate to say I like mine, but unfortunately I also have a bit of a niche use case that suits Gigabyte (testbench orientation so vertical GPU, helps a great deal with sag / sleeve bearing fan longevity / PCB cracking concern).

Generally in this generation Gigabyte has ok GPU temps and great VRAM temps. Just stay away from 2-fan Eagles unless you know for sure they don't have a plastic backplate.

Originally I was looking for the 4070Ti, but since it had 12VHPWR, I wanted a 4070 with 8-pin but it was too weak for my liking. Now i'm mainly looking at 4070 Super and Ti Super, or waiting for 4080 to drop price.

I converted local currency to USD:

My best advice would be : don't waste money on a highend gpu this late in the cycle, unless you literally don't have a gpu atm.

Yeah, awesome graph, except for the fact that it's absolute sh1te, as it doesn't show the actual cooler performance. The winforce fans will be running at 2000 rpm to achieve the same temps the surprim fans runs at 1300 rpm to get.

4070 super gaming oc is the safe bet, 5 heat pipes, silent bios, 1.33x fans direct flow pass through. You can go to their site and see the difference for yourself. Aoruus is a monster but using the same pcb. And it doesn't seem to offer more vrms phases. Led can be turned off once and for all using the proprietary software, not required to run after that. 12GB not good. 50s 70 class is one year away if it follows anything like the 40s launch sequence logic with 90,80 first, 80 being half the chip so it's more like a 70ti at that point, but expensive.

what are OK temps? I'm looking at @P4-630 post from RTX 4080 review and I personally see good temps across the board. I think people (easily) have different debates when it comes to temps. Is it safe? Is it the lowest temp out there? Is it below a certain number I have in my head that's safe. So at anytime anyone can be discussing these questions in the same thread.

Did the windforce gpu %$@# you in the donkey?
Watch his f'ing review, he says it was quite and cool. Both cards
The only time my fans have reached max is when I set them manually.
From their website - "The Windforce cooler is certainly capable of running cool and quietly under even the most demanding scenarios", but you will say he is lying in any case.
You've basically called me a liar.

I bet you are going to say I'm lying about this, My card is idling at 28c while there is a Youtube video playing in the background and my fans are off.

It's a sh1te review - first of all the surprim has a higher default power limit, meaning it's pushing more power and has more it needs to cool, and secondly the review at no point mentions what rpm the fans runs at... but spoiler alert, the 4090 windforce runs at roughly 2000 rpm (and no, this is not max rpm - that is nearly 3000), while the surprim runs at 1300 rpm... achieving the same temps while being quieter and pushing more watts and higher clocks...

There is a reason why the 4090 windforce is THE cheapest 4090...

Okay, so now the issue is that the fans are running at a slightly higher fan speed and even though he say's you can't here them, you still have an issue. Mine normally only get to 1700\1800rpm.
Was playing Horizon 5 earlier and they peaked at 1200rpm.
You still say I'm lying about my temps that I can see in front of me, you don't believe a review that gets similar results to me. He even says in the review on the website and in the video you can't hear the card.

Same Q, Did a windforce gpu %$# you in the donkey?

I'm adding this -
I'm not defending the windforce series of cards, I know there have been bad models.
I will how ever defend the info I have given about my current card, when I know that said info is true.
Basically I have been told I am a liar, which is an insult to my character, just because someone has had a bad experience.

Same Q, Did a windforce gpu %$# you in the donkey?

You clearly don't understand what you are being told, or rather you are doing the classic "defend my purchase!!!"...

You are running with an fps cap of 60, meaning that your gpu load will be far from maxed out in most cases - and that is deffo the case in horizon 5. Meaning your "data" is absolutely useless.

As i've already told you several times, run unlimited fps and show us a screenshot of hwinfo64 while doing so...

Okay, you got me.
All the info I gave was huge lie, even the review was fabricated for me.

I just don't understand why I bought my 5th or 6th Gigabyte Windforce GPU, I saw all the gaming reviews and thought it isn't necessary, and I was so wrong.
Now I am stuck with a very hot and noisy and slow bargain basement gpu.
I am sorry, I wont "defend my purchase!!!" anymore.

Those figures in post #19 were random numbers drawn by chance.

I don't think any well known/reputable reviewer has reviewed a Gigabyte Windforce GPU.
like a specific model or in general? I'm sure many windforce units have been reviewed in general over the years.

Old Windforce is a completely different product. The current Windforce design (not "Windforce 3x" relating to the general cooler/fan design of any Gigabyte GPUs) was quietly introduced in like, the last year or two at most, as a more cost effective variant of Eagle.

As to temps, I was referring more to the 4070 family, but the GPU temps are better described as "just fine". Not leading the pack, but all big GPUs run cool nowadays.

TPU reviewed one not even a year ago, the few I owned I was always able to find a review. I'm sure the higher tier units get their fair share of reviews but the windforce ones are out there as well

Good find... and this shows exactly what im talking about...

Windforce cooler is literally bottom of the barrel, except the Gigabyte eagle is even worse...
