Idk still deciding on it. R7 250 cost the same as a GT 640 but it offers gamability if i ever decided too.

IMO go for the 250 since it is also offers gamability. and plus it uses GDDR5 right?

Both R7 250 and GT 640 use DDR3 if you plan on gaming on ether cards you will get away with solitaire on 4K not much else, They will run Doom 3 on 800x600 resolution just fine.

The R7 250 comes in two variants. GDDR5 and DDR3 both of which are similar priced. Also never said i would game at 4K since my 780 cant even do that.
