I have to choose between the SR80i or MS1i. Both of them are priced almost the same where I'm at.

My question is what is the difference between the two, and what is the best to use for gaming. Ive checked the net, and havent found anything that compares them on a user's pov.

thanks!

I have the Grado SR80. They are really great phones for any style of music and for gaming. The audio spectrum is really wide and the sound is sharp in general. When you buy Grado phones, you first have to put them aside and let them get trained with some music for a solid 12 hours. This will make the final sound of your phones and it is important to put various styles of music when doing so and loud. Then you're ready to rock! Take note that SR80's aren't the most comfortable headphones and can get your ears sore after a few hours.

For the MS1i, I don't know them at all. They are Grado phones?

Yes they are grado

Priced the same as sr80i,

anyways, I went ahead and scored sr80i... and tbh, I was hoping for more crisp and clarity.. Its an entry level headset and indeed it sounded entry level.. bass is there, and sound is defined yes...

Im no audio listening pro, but say when compared to the in-ear I have like senn cx300ii or pioneer she9800 (or am I comparing something completely different.. a headset vs an in-ear headphone), the latter sounded more clear (dunno, must be the treble).

I dont get it... you mean, let it play some music for 12 hours? Like a burn in time?

Ok, I can now see what the term "neutral" from the reviews meant.. just after tweaking the bass and treble on the soundcard, man this can is good! :D

Cranked up the bass and played Friendly Fire's Lovesick, and still was not distorting. The highs are my only gripe.. it was cutting my ears (lead guitars) while the mid was still tamed..
