So i was just dorking around with NiBiTor today and found how to flash voltages to the 65nm (192SP) gtx 260's permanently using the register modification feature they added, gave it a little bump to 1.215 and voila... stable 850 mhz core and 1700 mhz shaders (yeah technically not 4890 clocks, but 850Mhz core and i had to make a catchy title :D ).

gonna try for 900-1000 at 1.3ish tomorrow... gpu's haven't broken 40C yet. Memory and drivers are massively bottlenecking the vantage score. :rockout: couldn't believe my eyes though.

gotta get some ZZz's for tonight. :toast:

probably around 8.2K per card for the smaller WU's and around 6 for the 511's - while the GPU's are watercooled, the VRM's are just under an aluminum heatsink...:banghead:

That kind of sucks (and something I didnt anticipate) since even at 1.215 volts the VRM's will break 110C after 24h of folding

During hours of gaming they don't really break 70C so i can try to push the cards.

UPDATE:

Well it seems like voltage are really not as important as temps for these cards.... I cant seem to stabilize the 864Mhz core and 1728 shaders even with 1.3v :(

They just render noise and the computer hard locks... ill try a bit more later...
