H100i Power cable

Hey guys, I had a quick question in regards to the H100i.

I had one in my old build and have now given it to a mate. I was wondering which cable powered it; there is one which looks like a SATA power cable but the metal part on the head is much thinner. I didn't put my old build together so I have no idea what it was connected to; we couldn't find anything which it would fit into.

1x to Sata Port from PSU
Small one to Mother Board CPU Fan .

the small one is just for the tacho signal for monitoring the rpm, seems its for limiting the power draw on the mobo fan connector iirc

The cable that he has says sata power and JSD on it aswell, however, the metal parts on the head aren't backed by plastic.

So RMA it.

if you don't have warranty, cut the sata and use old connector(4-Pin) from some FAN

if I'm not wrong Left black cable in the image is RED (+) and Right one IS (-)

in 4Pini Red is (+) and Black one close to him is (-)

EDIT: I had the same h100i in my old build. If I'm not wrong I think it was connected to something. Maybe the plastic came off?

Yep, It's definitely broken, mine still has plastic on it. If you wanna fix it, as everyone just said, just cut the sata connector off and solder a molex connector on instead, that should do the trick

See if you can get an advanced RMA from Corsair. they are rather good at that

You can fix it by ur self for 2$, just buy new cable in ebay. LMAO.

Unfortunately $50 air won't beat $100 water. But those will cool enough for a decent and stable overclock. with the options on that site and his criteria i think i covered all of them. Can you suggest a better one?
I'm not Aussie so i can't suggest a better site etc.

OP is looking to RMA...
If he doesn't that's up to him... I agree he should just repair it if he can, if he lacks confidence then he must do what he has to..

Remove old SATA and Connect to new one .

It's just (+) and (-) / RED and BLACK = are 12v

isn't so hard at all, one of most easy job :3

if I'm not wrong Left black cable in the image is RED (+) and Right one IS (-) (H100i)

If you have old MALE Connection (4 Pin) so you can use it too

RED and black one that close to Red
