Help choosing a graphics card...

I may be asking for trouble but please be honest in your opinion. I am looking for a graphics card but cannot decide between these two.

I like the Asus gtx560ti due to nvidia drivers but the 6950 I believe is the more powerful card especially if it can be flashed to 6970 specs.

Other members here could provide better guidance than myself.

oh look, its the 6950 winning.

if the difference in hardware performance isnt much different, go for nvidia As their driver beat AMD everytime.

I believe it takes a GTX 570 to be comparable to a 6950/70, and the 6950 will last longer with its 2GB of VRAM. It's like buying an 8800 GTS 320MB vs. the 640MB edition, the 640MB always won the games that loved more memory.

I'm not saying that say an HD 6450 would beat a GTX 560 just because it has 2GB of RAM, but the 6950 is a top end card with a low price, versus a mid-high end card with half the RAM. If you can deal with AMD's drivers (I can most of the time) the 6950 is a winner. If you need NVIDIA PhysX, F@H dominance or just "better" drivers, you'll probably want a 560 or preferably a 570.

Besides, the card you should be comparing the GTX 560 Ti to is the 1GB version of the 6950, because they are roughly of the same price.

Please state what you are using it for? It doesn't take much to look at the specifications and reviews from each card to determine what you need. Until then people can thow darts and come up with the best card for your needs. Clearly one card is more powerful than the other and has more vram. Do you need it? I have no idea.
