    option 1:
    - amd athlon x2 3800+/4800+
    - 200gb/320gb hdd
    - 1gig/2gig ram if lucky
    - restore partition
    - used
    - no graphic card

    option 2:
    emachines
    - amd athlon64 3000+
    - 200gb hdd (probly cheap 2mb cache)
    - 2.5gig ram
    - restore CD's
    - used
    - buy additional 7800 GTX pci-express

both options will be about 200.00 usd budget. which should I go for?

I like option 1. IF it has a PCI-e due to knowing with a 2900XT or alike it could run STALKER dam well...

EDIT: There MIGHT be a cache difference too pending on which 4800 x2 it is one has more than the 3800 x2.

im assuming that you have os for the option 1 right? otherwise the emachines looks good, because of the extra ram, pci e, restore cds, and ability to upgrade to dual core later.

yeah both are os installed. emachine is with xp home and option 1 is with vista.

anyway option 1 the deal is off.... and option 2.... dont want to trust the seller much as i caught him being dishonest at stuff.

    nevermind.

Fully test the emachine and if it passes the tests buy it, but offer a slightly lower price. As to dude's dishonesty, did you point it out? If you are like, "dude, you're lying." he'll prolly realize his error and take the lower price. At worst he'd lie some more, lol.
