Alright guys, after almost 5 years with the same crappy setup, I finally threw some money into my rig. My problem is, I can get into the BIOS screen and Windows boot selection, but Windows Vista OR Windows 7 will get to the first loading part and the comp will completely restart. I flashed my new mobo to a more current version (1.3 to be exact) but still the same issue! CPU under hardware monitor in bios is only showing 50~C temps...
New specs are as follows:
Ultra 600w PSU
Intel i5 3450
Asrock z75 pro3 mobo
Kingston HyperX ddr3-1600 8gb memory
XFX Radeon 7770
I guess I should also mention that I did not realize the board does not have IDE connectors when I ordered it....my CD-drive is IDE.... which means I can't pop in the driver disk. Is this the problem or should it work regardless of that? It should in my mind with a BIOS update...
