help with sound card.

i got a whole new computer put together yesterday there was no sound so i took my old computers sound card and put it in. there was still no sound so i tried installing drivers but it didnt work (www.turtlebeach.com)

it is a turtle beach santa cruz
 
what are you using for speakers? Make sure if they are powered that they have juice going to them and their volume is turned up.

Make sure all your audio channels you are using are enabled (not muted) and are at least half way up the slider.

Try different outputs from your soundcard. Maybe try out a set of headphones as there might be an issue with your speakers.

Open: Control Panel-->Sounds and Multimedia -->Audio
Set your preferred device as your Turtle Beach sound card (you might have to reboot after this).

If you do not want to use onboard sound then you should try disabling onboard audio in your BIOS.
