Software A lot.
Benchmark Scores Its fast. Enough.
OC or Overclocking is merely raising one of the frequency inputs that control the final core speed to improve performance.

If you raise the maximum multiplier for boost clock it will NOT run at boost speeds all the time, it only allows the chip to attain the higher speeds in scenarios where it would have previously used its stock boost speed.

If you raise the FSB or equivalent by a percentage the core speed is increased by that percentage at idle states and boost speeds.

Some here disable the core boost feature to allow the chip to run at full speed at all times, this however requires more power and makes more heat for the entire time the chip is powered on.

My suggestion would be to post some CPU-z screenshots of your CPU and memory and allow people here to help you attain the best performance for what you have.

i want to try some OC on it Before i sell it (want the new 4790k) _ (planing to use it till the 2nd gen of DDR4).
so to topic, how will my mobo stand in OC?

Yeah, that motherboard does not have a very powerful electrical delivery system on it. You should be ok with a OC of up to maybe 4 ghz, but I wouldn't push it much more than that. My first Z68 motherboard was a Gigabyte Z68AP D3 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3897#ov), and I fried it 3-4 months after getting it running my 2600k at 4.5ghz
