I have Club 3D HD3850 512mb(pci-e). Do this mode work with my card? My card back is different, but it haves R1222 too.

I'm posting these pics for Zyge. Take a look fellas and see what you think.......Thanks!

I don't know this stuff really well, but if it's possible to pencil, it's going to be around the large, square, black chip in this area of the back of the card. We will probably need a slightly clearer picture of the area.

Hi ...
Thank God :respect: ... Finally I've found helpful people like you guys :D

Me the same Like "CBOT" having DDR3 powercolor 3870

& as u can see in the quote Picture .. We both cant find the resistor R1222 despite it is written on the board ..
I have the GPU O/Ced to 823 Mhz only & need to increase it another 50 Mhz @least ...

Please I want someone Find for me the Specific RESISTOR cause I couldnt find it myself ...

Thanx in advance .

Sorry "Random Murderer" .. This is what i could afford for you right now ..

it's a bit tricky as the pcb design is different from the conventional one as the R1222 is written where no target resistor is detectable

I know I am asking a heavy work from you to tell me which resistor shall I shade .. And I appreciate any help from you my sir From the posted picture .

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have a multimeter in case you ask me to measure each resistor individually,

[big pic]

ok, it seems the pinout on that chip is the same as the one i use, so if you have a continuity tester(most dmm's have one built in) you can probe around and find a resistor to test out.
pin 13 is your feedback pin. note that in the pic i completely covered the pin in a blue blob.

keep in mind that all you want to do is reduce the resistance to ground from this pin, so if you trust your soldering skills, solder a 100k trimpot from that pin to ground. simple, right?

Zyge: unfortunately, i can't see the writing on the chip i'm interested in. if i circled it on your pictures, could you either take a clear pic of it or type what's written on it for me?

This is not the place for your card. This is for the HD3870 so kinda pointless to show off your 3Dmark score here.;)

Hello
So many pages to read thru
I just got and installed a ATI HD 3870 and would like to get more out of it.
I have tried all the overclocking programs but this card no matter what will not let me.
Do any adjustments at all.
Is it the card and I need to do this volt mod to get it to overclock.

I also see you have the bios flash in your first post does this need to be done in addition to the volt mod or can I use the bios flash and get those clocks with out the volt mod?

You probably got ash this question a dozen times but with 15 pages to read threw I did not find the answer.

? What are decent temps with this card stock cooler.
With my Easytuner app from Gigabyte I can get OC to
Core 840
Mem 1191
But it wont let me do anything more
My temps are
GPU 77.01 C - 170.6 F
I have Riva tuner controlling the fan and 70%
These are None gaming temps I will get the gaming temps in a bit.

Hitman

can you verify that you have a reference pcb? the only gigabyte 3870's i've seen are on non-ref pcb's...

the fact that you can only hit 840 core could be one of a few things. it could be that you don't have enough voltage, but i would try other things before a volt mod. first off, put your fan at 100% for now. i know it's loud, but we need to rule out temperature issues. second, i would back down the memory clock to stock for now to see how far you can push the core.
also, i would recommend atitool .27b3. it controls fanspeeds as well as clocks and timings, and it can dump your bios for you, should we need it.
