I CLOCKED MY 1900XT AT,
CORE 650
MEM 760=1520 IN DDR MODE.

VGPU @ 1.425.V
MVDDC @ 2.086.V
MVDDQ @ 2.086.V
VDDCI @ 1.580.V

IT'S RUNNING AT 65 0/C IDLE.
AND I SET IT UP LIKE THIS FOR THE FAN SPEED.
60 0/C @ 32% FAN speed
70 0/C @ 40% speed
82 0/C @ 50% speed
90 0/C @ 100% speed

IS THIS IDLE OK ?
IS THE SPEED SETTINGS OK ?
HOW DO I TEST A FULL LOAD SO I CAN SEE THE TEMPS,WHAT TEMPS SHOULD IT BE AT ON FULL LOAD IN GAMES ?
ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW DO USE ATI TOOL, COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS OK , AND WHAT IVE WROTE, ANY TIPS WOULD BE GREAT.
PLUS HOW DO I DISABLE CCC OVERDRIVE. THANKS LADS

WOw I dont even see my x1800's get that hot under load , but I do have the fans set at 100% and an 80mm fan running at 7500rpm facing the ram and voltage reg. and chipset which also helps alot

I take it you are using ATITOOL to attain the OverClock and fan control?

Are you using Different Profiles for 2d and 3d mode?

If not, your going to kill your card running at 3d speeds in 2d mode. FOr instance there is no reason to run you card at 650Mhz to use M$ Word or when browsing the net.

You need to be sure you are running different profiles.

90C is very, very hot. If you are hitting that (90C) I would be concerned about the life span of your card. You need a better cooler for sure. Ram HeatSinks, and Putting some copper on the Voltage controller is a good idea as well. Then add a second fan to blow on the RAM, and Voltage Controllers.

one other note. Your Voltages will differ between 3d and 2d mode. No need using that high of a voltage to maintain 500Mhz. Just adding extra heat for no reason.

I say your post for on needing a new fan. I would upgrade more then just the fan. The entire heatsink needs to be thrown away. Its OK for stock, but on a OC its crud. That and it has about the same sounds level as a Jet Engine.

A solid copper cooler, with a high speed fan would be your best bet. Much cooler, and much quiter, or at least not as high pitched.

u are not supposed to have the fan set at 100% and u dont need to be as low as 47c under gaming load..

the design idea is the fan at about 75% max under load and acceptable noise levels.. not overcooled and sounding like a jet engine..

the cards are intended to run at 75c or so under load with the fan at about 70%.. not 47c and sounding like a jet engine with the fan at 100%.. he he he

trog

ps.. 100% fan speed is perfectly okay at 90c.. but in action that temp should never be reached and the fans should never make that much noise..
