Hello!

I would like to ask you for help to get the BIOS of Radeon HD 6470M 1 GB. It's been two years that my card stopped working and now I'm trying to resurrect it again. It happened like this:

I was using UnifL (http://leshcatlabs.net/) to have updated switchable graphics on my notebook and then blue screens started to appear. After two days, suddenly, the AMD card completely stopped working....

I think it was the Bios that malfunctioned because of these readings that the GPU-Z gives me:

(Correct values: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b1193/amd-radeon-hd-6470m-1-gb.html)

And because of this:

I've searched for it in all the ways I know and couldn't find this firmware!! Only this totally modified one for the previous version of my card (512MB): http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...e-on-ati-radeon-hd-6470m-asus-a42jz-notebook/

If is possible use a different bios, I would be very happy to know what it is and also how to proceed.

I'll be very very very very very grateful for the help!!! I want to play some nice games again........
Ty!

(Sorry for English errors, it's not my main language)

Hi

Just looks like driver corruption;

dose the notebook boot in windows safe mode?
did you deep clean/uninstall leshcat driver! [*If No] *do so
next
reinstall driver from manufacturers web site

If is possible use a different bios
NO

Note:
unlikely to be vbios image corruption; [is possible vga card has failed]

no bios is available in tpu's vbios database ... find contact HP and see if they have one

Hi

The computer is working OK. This happened two years ago, I've already reinstalled my OSes many times and I'm using Intel graphics since. The problem is that both in Windows with Catalyst and Linux with Catalyst or Gallium3D my radeon fails miserably. The readings from GPU-Z and RBE are completely crazy...

It's a shame that I can not use different bios, I almost did some testing before posting here XD

OneMoar, I don't know if HP has this kind of code... It's like personal AMD stuff.

Well, after managing to get the bios and flash it I'll be able to tell if the card is bad or not. I'm begging all over the internet for this firmware :peace:

Even if this radeon is broken, I'll post the rom here.

Thanks for the replies.

EDIT
Now I understand: the bios is only one and it's good in my case. I declare my radeon dead.

Thanks
