I have gone through 2 motherboards and two processors trying to figure out what's wrong with my pc.
Device manager says Ihave two cores in my dual core in specs.
Task manager says 1 core and shows one core, also it will not set affinity because it acts like there is only one core.
there is only one core on the graph as well in performance.
and yes it is on one graph per cpu.
bios says 2 cores.
I'm also having weird issues with my ethernet.
it just disappears sometimes.
My pc acts as if there is no hardware on the mobo for ethernet at all.
I have to reset cmos and reset defaults and hope for it to be recognized..
I'm starting to think it might be power supply related.
I had the same ethernet problem on my last mobo but not the processor problem.
I'm using the same PSU.
mobo and cpu have both been changed out since then.
yet the problem persists and is even increased.
anyone ever dealt with something like this before?
I'm about to slam this piece of shit into a wall..
Just tired of it..
please do feel free to offer any adivice what so ever..
