Input Lag - But no AtiTool installed for months!

Title says it all. I posted in another thread but I thought my problem was different enough to warrant its own. I've formatted a couple times in the past 6 months, and I haven't had ATITOOL installed for at least 3-4 months. And yet... I'm getting the IDENTICAL problem being described in all these threads. Input lag, I keep walking forward, etc for a second until I regain control.

Any idea if my slight overclocking (I'm on a laptop) could've done something? I dont have any other problems other than the input lag. No artifacts, etc.

First of all you should clock down, and I don´t think you are in the right forum part now.

Clock Down? What the heck are you talking about?

Seriously, if you formated the computer there is no chance in hell ATI tool has anything to do with, thats why you are in the wrong part.

And also overclocking when you have got slightly to high has a tendency to make computers a bit sluggish, stops reactiing for short periods and so on.

as i said in your other post it could be 2 things. hardware damage or driver issues. im going with the latter of the two. seeing how you reformatted windows really makes me think that as its very hard to get the newest version of every driver.

Problem solved. Apparently my computer didn't like DHmodded catalyst drivers. Had to search out specific mobility drivers from driverheaven.
