I've just been told the other day that my card is too booty to do a bios swap to PE:banghead:
so I'm in the hunt for other alternatives

currently running a dual DVI Sapphire X850XT non VIVO......

any help with just a yes or no is appreciated , but if yes please post a link to mods or permission to skype or windows live messenger someone to pick their brain a bit

Yes you can Vmod it: http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/voltmods/112
but with 554 core/ 604 mem you can directly flash XT PE BIOS. Just edit the BIOS in RaBit and disable the VIVO support before to flash. (The "normal" X850XT PE PCI-E BIOS has VIVO and dual DVI).

what are the benni's to the flash ? if any? and i just grab the bios from the downloads ,mod it and flash it? same as when i made my X800GTO to 16pp?

ok have downloaded bios and opened with rabbit is it just as simple as unchecking the vivo box in the features?

Yes it is easy but after unchecking you have to save that BIOS and to flash with it. No benefits for the flash itself :laugh: . But should be benefits for the clocks (both core memory).

i have the bios saved with vivo unchecked and as soon as i remember how to make a bootable disk ill repost with what i end up with.

any threads on making a bootable cd instead of a floppy ??????? as i have found out that my floppy took a poop!!!!!

i have found a thread that says to use Nero . But when i go to the next step after putting ati flash and new bios in box, it asks again for the floppy with no way to make it to a cd!!!!!!!!!! am i just retarded or is this program the wrong one for my needs?

Thanks inZane helped out some but i got a buddy commin over soon to help out with the proceedure.....think were gonna set it up to use a usb zip drive..... just hope it all goes smoothly
