That adapter on Amazon just converts a mSATA port to SATA, no electrical changes at all, just physical. Since mini-PCIe is electrically incompatible, you'd need a mini-PCIe SATA controller, which up until just now when I googled it, I didn't realize existed. You'd want something like this, although the reviews for that particular one (and adapters like it) are pretty bad.
Note that it has actual chips on it.

I need half height one, the stupid SATA ports blocking it. I am thinking that mini pcie slot is meant for a wireless card!!

Everything in that list is mSATA, which the port doesn't electrically support. A few of them appear to be incorrectly labeled as mini-PCIe. That $7 PCIe riser + whichever PCIe card you'd like would probably give you the most options. The cheapest option would likely be a mini-PCIe SATA controller, which I only recently discovered is a thing.

mSATA and PCIe use the same type of physical port, but aren't always interchangeable. Some motherboards have a mSATA/PCIe port that can sense what is plugged in to it, but it definitely shouldn't be assumed that is the case. Typically, it's either a mSATA port or it's a mini-PCIe port, not both. I blame the manufacturer for not making that clear.

ya i found it hard way just few hours back.
mine is blocked by capacitor and jumper :/
there are some half slim ssds that can fit but most of them are sata2 tech with ridicules speeds.
i am going for 2.5" ssd since i have 4 sata ports and there isnt way i could buy adapter locally

i saw in data sheet for transcend msa630 ssd both used as description of the connector type so obviously even manufacturers havnt clear view on what is what.
