Just built this:
Do I really need an intake fan? I tried running a 92mm intake on the right side but it just added noise. No cooling benefit at all.
GPU: Getting 70*C load Max 30*C Idle
CPU: Getting 65*C load Max 25*C Idle
My power supply sucks in air and exhausts out the top, is this enough to cool my VRMs on the Z77E. My main concern is whether the motherboard can handle overclocks in the long term without an intake. The power supply is close enough to the side panel (sits directly above the itx) that it draws in air from that side and exhausts it out the top. The CPU has an AIO Cooler that dumps exhaust down to the bottom below the case. So the only real intake fan is the two on the GPU, and obviously that only benefits the GPU.
Runs a lot quieter and the temps seem the same side intake or not. I'm going to remove the Xeon and put the 2550k in soon enough. I just want to make sure I don't burn out my motherboard or something.
