Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, announced that its award-winning Razer Naga and Razer Naga Epic MMO gaming mice are getting substantial software upgrades to allow them to continue to be gamers' preferred weapons of destruction.

The three new features added to the Synapse 2.0 software suite for the Razer Naga are:

- Keymapping
- Unlimited profiles
- Profile import/export

A keymapping feature lets gamers keep settings like lighting and DPI, but change the layout of the 17-buttons on the Razer Naga on-the-fly. Gamers can cycle through eight keymaps per profile, essentially increasing the available buttons on the Razer Naga eightfold. Alternatively, users may assign temporary keymap toggles for dynamic keymap swapping, useful for temporary in-game skill swaps when changing stances or weapons.

With unlimited profiles stored in Razer's proprietary cloud system, gamers can have a different profile for each MMO or application they use. Profiles are saved and synced automatically from the dedicated remote server and can be bound to applications for effortless profile customization.

Users will now also be able to export their profiles and macros and share them with friends via the new profile import/export function. The feature also allows settings to be imported from older models of mice for seamless transitions, making hardware upgrades easier, and changing out a gaming mouse simple.

"We're extremely dedicated to our MMO products and the Naga has become a hallmark for Razer," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, president of Razer USA. "These new software upgrades mean that users can customize and switch between more than just a couple of profiles. The Naga is now limitless."

It also does not have a "start minimized" option, so i have to close it every time i restart my computer + i dont really like the way they made the profile list. Now i have to switch to every profile to check if it has a program linked to it ... For me at list the tab whit all the profiles listed was much better. As for the rest it seems very nice, the changes are very welcome and i dont know if it's only a illusion but the auto profile switch seems to be more responsive now.

If they fix the start minimized part and add a tab for profile list it wood be perfect. Also i dont mind support for Anansi so i can have one driver instead of two, but that is another story. Overall it is a good driver.

Not to mention that you need to SUBSCRIBE to some bollox in order to use the item you paid good money for. And having to close that silly popup at every start up is annoying.

My fault for wanting a few more buttons... back to my old MX something logitech mouse.
