Now that they've included many of the L4D1 levels in L4D2, it's great. I wonder where they will set L4D3 at? Perhaps in New York City?

That looks pretty good, lol. I usually stayed away from custom maps because next to nobody played them.

I thought the L4D2 levels were good, but not quite as good as the ones from L4D. I liked the characters too, and I found the introduction of melee to be awesome as well as the other infected. Personally I found it a lot better than L4D, then when they introduced the old maps in L4D2, it was perfect. I can't wait for round 3.

My hopes of new infected are these, and I've said these for a while: a dog that can leap and attack you, maybe starts biting at your neck and can be shoved off sort of like a hunter, but instead of pouncing runs away quickly and the leap has a cooldown similar to the jockey. The screamer, which brings in horde like the boomer if you anger it or something -- I know they had this concept somewhere already, it would be cool to see it introduced. Some other ones, who knows what. I'd like to see some more team based stuff too, because even though I'm very guilty of it, it will stop people from running ahead and either trolling or just being stupid.

With the success of l4d 1 and l4d 2, I think Valve will definitely be looking at prolonging the series with a new entry.

I don't sub to threads just browse latest posts and sub forums as it takes my fancy, I just think there's no reason to have brought it back from the dead twice when there was no real truth in the OP and there has been no update since, plus it fooled me twice :shadedshu

HL3 with the new source engine is coming 1st, then L4D3,despite having two separate teams working on them.
No not speculation or opinion, just stating the facts that this information regarding L4D3 & HL3 along with a new source engine was found in Valve's Internal Documentation. Quite worth resurrecting this thread don't you think. ;)
